Brownies

Hello again, sorry for not posting anything in a while.. today we are going to make Brownies, everyone knows them and almost everyone loves them.

this recipe i first tried when a friend made it, and since I LOVE everything chocolate, I didn't leave until she has given me the recipe :) so let's start!

ingredients:
2 large eggs
1/2 cup soft butter1/2 cup melted chocolate
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup all purpose flour1/4 tbsp baking powder1 sachet vanilla powder or 1 tsp vanilla extractcrushed nuts to taste (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts..etc)

note that the nuts used in making desserts are the toasted, non salted variety ( i personally just learnt that!!)Preparationstart by preparing the melted chocolate, for those who don't know how, start by chopping up the chocolate, prepare the water bath ( heat a basin full of water then place another container inside it) , place the chopped chocolate in the inner container and leave it to melt.
beat the eggs with the vanilla well, add the mix to the melted chocolate and mix well.
beat the butter and sugar vigorously until emulsified then add the previous mix to it, last
add the baking powder and flour and mix well with a spoon. you can also beat everything together in a blender if you are short on time, however, i prefer the separate beating method.
pour the batter into a rectangular form and make sure to keep it thin, as the brownies should be thinner than regular cakes. sprinkle the crushed nuts on top.
if you prefer you can mix them inside the batter


if you are allergic to nuts or simply don't like them, you can substitute them with chocolate buttons

or just sprinkle some confectioner's sugar on top

bake in a 180 C oven for 25 minutes, test by inserting a knife in, if it came out clean then it is done.

add sugar to taste and 2 tsps of butter to a chocolate melt to make chocolate sauce to serve with the brownies.. serve warm.

that's it, easy right?
